Our history
The Gasthaus Nestroy is your traditional restaurant in Vienna. Already at the beginning of the year 2003 Hans Stöckl opened the Gasthaus Nestroy in Vienna Leopoldstadt. His parents ran the well-known "Butterfaßl" in the Prater and so finally the son found his way into a familiar environment and a family business.
Our restaurant is easy to find:
You find us on the square named after the famous Viennese theater poet and comedian Johann Nepomuk Eduard Ambrosius Nestroy next to the Galaxy Tower.
Das Gasthaus Nestroy, ein Wiener Traditionsbetrieb, wurde von TripAdvisor, Falstaff und vielen weiteren ausgezeichnet. Es gibt eine breite Auswahl an traditionellen österreichischen Speisen, aber auch einige saisonale Spezialitäten. Auch bei den verwendeten Produkten wird auf Regionalität geachtet.
